So this is a chicken which has been made by gluing various buttons onto canvas.
This is a great way to use up any spare buttons and of course you can make any animal or object you wish too, or why not go abstract and randomly glue buttons for a unique effect!
What I used:
- assorted buttons
- square canvas
- PVA glue
( and a little accessory for the corner!)
So I started out by drawing out the outline of the chicken, then placing buttons. Its important at this point that you DO NOT glue any down or else you don't know how all the buttons will fit on or if you need to change your design!

After placing your buttons I found it easy to remove a few, rub out any visible lines, apply glue then place the buttons back.
This way I was able to make sure all the buttons returned to the same place.
Add a few final touches and your ready to go!
Here is a close up of the head, as you can see I used a range of large and small buttons to create a more textured piece.
Here is the finished artwork!
I added a large button with a ribbon through the centre, this was like a seal of approval!
