DIY birthday bunting

This fab birthday bunting can be adapted to suit boy or girl and any occasion! ( Christmas, birthday, halloween) You can add as any pieces as you want and change the size of the flags to suit.

What you will need

- at least 2 sheets of card/paper
- some twine/string/ribbon
- a ruler/scoring board
- some scissors/guillotine
- the downloadable bunting file ( Available to download on the download page)
- some glue
- printable letters ( I just got letters in circles from the internet)

Step1: Print and cut out the bunting template at the desired size.

Step 2: using the template cut as many bunting shapes as you require.I used alternating papers to make the bunting stand out!

Step 3: Print and cut out any letters that you wish to use, stick them onto the bunting pieces using glue.

Step 4: Next score each bunting piece from corner to corner ( this is represented as a line on the template )

Step 5: Fold this down and then cut some twine or whatever you decided to use. To make a bunting with 5 flags you need approximately 1 meter of twine.

Step 6: Glue along the top of the flag and trap some twine inside by folding over , this secures the bunting to the twine and is much more secure than Sellotape!

Step 7: Repeat the glueing/trapping process on each of the flags to join together your bunting, make sure that if you are making a word place the letters in reverse order so that when you turn the bunting around to hang it up the letters spell the word correctly!

Step 8: Hang up you bunting and your ready to PARTY!!!
