Another simple card + 1 new technique

Hi I'm back with another card plus one new technique to keep you occupied during the run up to Disney week! ( which starts tomorrow )

So here's the card

This card was so simple to make, with just a few dies, ribbon and a few essential jewels!

As you can see it can stand either on its side or bottom, its just your personal preference!

So here's how to make the flower!

You will need the following Britannia dies, if you don't have them a link is provided at the bottom of this post which will take you to an online shop where you can buy them, equally if you have any similar dies, they may work in the same way.

2 inch multi flower and calyx
1.5 inch multi flower and calyx
Large, medium and small multi flower rose dies

So first of all you will need to cut 1 rounded flower from each die, if you cut more you can just put them to one side to use when making another card!

After you've cut them all out crease each petal down the centre this is shown in the bottom left hand corner of the picture below.

Next apply a small amount of glue at the edge of each petal on the crease.

Take some tweezers and pinch sealing the edge with the glue.

Using your finger split open the petal, smoothing it towards the tweezers, twist the edge in then release.

Repeat this method for all of the flowers you have cut out, then carefully place each flower on top of each other, placing the larger one at the bottom and the smaller one at the top, this is shown in the top right hand corner of the picture above.

Complete with a gem in the centre then its ready to be stuck onto a card!

Hope you've enjoyed this tutorial, feel free to leave a comment below or follow my blog by clicking ' Join this site ' on the right side bar!
